Power research

Bridge power is a risk exchange, not a shortcut

Examine the obligations introduced by interim generation.

Name the dependency being bridged

An interim power proposal should state which grid milestone it replaces, for how long and at what usable load. Keep the grid route and the interim route visible together. A bridge arrangement does not remove the need to understand long-term network works and service conditions.

Review the new operating conditions

Fuel availability, emissions, permitting, equipment delivery, operation and maintenance each require evidence. The applicable approvals depend on the specific project and jurisdiction. This desk does not determine permitting eligibility or issue an environmental conclusion.

Define the exit

Record the cost and timetable for switching to permanent service, including contract termination, equipment removal and commissioning. Test how a longer grid delay affects the bridge arrangement. Compare the full scope with reducing, phasing or relocating the initial compute requirement.

Take this checklist into the next meeting

  • Define usable load and bridge duration.
  • Obtain project-specific fuel and permitting advice.
  • Confirm equipment and operations responsibilities.
  • Model extension and exit obligations.

Evidence and assumptions

This guide develops the supplied buyer-side research framework. It makes no site-specific capacity claim. Obtain current utility documents, manufacturer specifications and appointed professional advice for the actual project. Any numerical examples are worked examples, not project data.
